What's happening with the ER at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital? My sister has been laying there since Wednesday afternoon.
She's a bone narrow transplant patient. She's very sick. They kept her there. No pain killer after dialysis, no food since been there. Nothing. I called numerous times, the receptionists just got the call, said hold on. Nobody comes to the phone. I only got an hold on someone early in the morning. He transferred me to the doctor to see what's happening with my sister. The doctor hung off on me, after he told me he has an emergency to take care of, he said he will call me back since 8am. It's now past 2pm. No call back.

I'm extremely disappointed with the current service. It wasn't like this before. They are neglecting patients over there. They don't care about the well-being of the patients. No food, no pain medicine, no calls from family members. This is a very URGENT matter, it needs to be looked at as soon as possible.

The check in process wasn’t bad, and I saw a physician in about 45 minutes. However, I was asked personal health information in an open area, which made me feel uncomfortable. I didn’t want a stranger across from me knowing my private health information, but I also needed assistance, so I reluctantly shared. No one should have to share their private health information in the open that way. It was not confidential at all! Shame on New York Presbyterian.
