When we decided to move out of state, we needed help getting rid of our "stuff". As former neighbors of ours had a Col. Rene' Brass auction , we decided that would be the way to go. We also decided that in addition to most of our personal property, we would auction the house too! We were told that everything would be sold in one day, and it was! Col. Rene & Col.Bob never tired from my frequent calls and never-ending questions, always encouraging me to call anytime. Their entire staff are friendly,hard working, and were wonderful to work with.Our auction was heavily advertised, well-attended, and was an outstanding success, including the sale of the house! We closed on the sale of the home 40 days after the auction and were able to do so from Arizona. Everything went smoothly! The title company was great to work with and kept us informed every step of the way. If you are moving and wish to sell your home and home contents, you MUST let Col.Rene' Brass and Col. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. They hid the fact that there was a Lis Pendens on a property that they auctioned. That is against the law. I will be taking up the matter with the Board of Auctioneers. One of the defendants in the lawsuit called the auction company many days prior to the auction asking them not to sell it because he could be liable for fraud. They ignored him, and told me the day of the auction when I showed them the court papers, that they would call the Sheriff on me if I said anything at the auction. They claimed they had no idea- I cannot believe that a company that auctions property does not do their due diligence and check with the Register of Deeds or title company to see if a property legally can be sold. If they would have done this, they would have clearly discovered the Lis Pendens. I informed them way before the auction started and they still chose to not disclose, and when someone in the bidding audience asked about a law suit, they said there was none.

Every time I come north I always look for one of Col Rene's Auctions. The last auction I was to it was 90 degrees and there was Rene still setting up things for the auction. She is the best Auctioneer I have ever seen and looks out for her clients and buyers. Been going to auctions for over 60 years and Rene and her team are number 1 in my book. I tell everybody. If you haven't been to one of her auctions you don't know what your missing.
