Riuscire a salire fino a quasi 4000 m senza subire i disturbi della mancanza d'ossigeno è un bel traguardo, anche con l'automobile. A proposito di salire in automobile vi consiglio di farlo gradualmente e facendo delle soste intermedie per abituare il corpo all'altezza. Un'altro consiglio che vi do è di portare una scorta d'acqua sufficiente per mantenere l'idratazione ed il PH del corpo a livelli normali, ma quest'ultimo consiglio vale per tutto il tempo che sarete a Denver e dintorni perché l'umidità è bassa.

Mother Nature's beauty at its best, the continental divide at Loveland Pass is worth the drive period.
So beautiful, there are so many places to take a walk, and on both sides, you need to take pictures to preserve these scenes for you to look back at this wonderful free place to drive up too.
So I've tried 4 different routes to get a drive up to the continental divide as my disability won't allow me to hike. Loveland Pass is the perfect place to drive up & just walk you to the continental divide. The only other place is Beaver Creek Trailridge drive, only problem there may not be a parking spot at either place. Be patient, people, don't stay that long. It's worth the wait for sure. So I was jumping up & and down, I finally made it to the continental divide. Thank you, Colorado, for having such a gorgeous pull off for everyone to appreciate the Beauty of Loveland Pass

Spectacular views for all ability levels. You can walk on the continental divide at around 12,000’ above sea level with parking nearby. Bring good shoes… there are “stairs,” but it is icy and covered in snow.

We asked a local where to play in the snow in late spring/early summer and this was their recommendation. It was perfect. ? ❄️

Our team includes an athletic late-60’s that stayed close to the parking lot due to icy conditions and poor footwear, two disabled but active late-30’s who hiked around a bit without too much difficulty, plus a dog and toddler who found plenty to do safely/SUPERVISED while getting to play in the snow in late April. Our minivan made it with no problem.

We had clear skies for a few minutes and then clouds/snow moved in, so be prepared for all conditions.

Driving the road to Loveland Pass requires your A-game: stay sober and keep those eyes on the road. With more curves than a pretzel factory, remember, a curve is only a dead end if you forget to turn with it. But hey, the views are worth the heart palpitations!!

SO WORTH THE DETOUR! If you're driving along I-70, it is so worth the detour to drive to the top of the pass! Such an incredible spot, I've never had trouble finding parking on a weekday as well. I love bringing friends here and it's a great place to watch sunrise or sunset with only a 45 minute drive back to Denver.
